These roads took me to many places, even those without a trail. Without maps, I got lost many times. Without maps, I began to take notes about the spaces I passed through. Halfway up a hill, I ran out of strength and again took notes.
Soon, I realized that I would use these notes as a kind of footnote in the film. While editing the film, those footnotes grew and became just as important as what I was looking for. When it was all over, the footnotes were all I wanted.
