We see that too often documentaries come from an anthropologically cold approach taken by filmmakers who act as observers. This project works the opposite way, as it is rather a creative collaboration with many people literally from the community, with whom–with the needed sensitivity and personal experiences–we aim to portray the community honestly, critically, without compromise, yet consensually. Because we involved them all in every aspect of the creative process, from idea to post-production, it secures the queer migrant communities or young adult audiences in Berlin and beyond as the main target audiences, while seeing the filmmaking community as the second audience in terms of ethical filmmaking.
