Mountain Roars

As mountains shift and echoes from explosions rumble in the distance, mysteries lie hidden in every corner of caves, streams, and trees. Strange, flickering lights pulse to the rhythm of the voices of a young man and woman, their stories echoing back and forth as they try to piece together the story of this place.

Chonchanok Thanatteepwong is a filmmaker and artist based in Bangkok. She is interested in experimental film and surrealist art. Her previous film, Crystallized Memory, was selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam, New Directors/New Films 2022 in New York, and the 33rd SGIFF in the Southeast Asian Short Film Competition. It won the student film prize at the 30th Bangkok Critics Assembly Awards and received an honorable mention at the 25th Thai Short Film and Video Festival in 2020.

Pobwarat Maprasob is a filmmaker and artist based in Bangkok. He is interested in experimental and documentary films that focus on space and history. His previous short film, Did You See the Hole That Mom Dig? was selected for the 34rd Singapore International Film Festival 2023, Seashorts Film Festival (Indonesia), Experimenta (India), and won runner-up in the documentary competition at the 28th Thai Short Film and Video Festival in 2024.
