People, nature, wildlife, and even stories all originate from mountains. Since ancient times, dating back to the Stone Age, humans have lived in the dark confines of caves.
The short film MOUNTAIN ROARS draws inspiration from news of protests against government negotiations for mining concessions that would involve blasting mountains in Krabi, Thailand – a province rich with magnificent mountains and caves.

Destroying nature doesn’t just eliminate these beautiful natural spaces. It can also mean the destruction of communities, water sources, wildlife, and ancient stories, along with histories waiting to be uncovered. The tremors from these blasts may not only affect Krabi but could also echo into other provinces in Thailand. Furthermore, this issue isn’t limited to Thailand; similar challenges are faced in many countries around the world.

We wanted to create a short film that captures the spirit and essence of caves, which are overshadowed and infiltrated by the vibrations of mountain blasts. These vibrations create echoes that ripple endlessly, reverberating from one mountain to another without end.
