At the request of Carmen Spitta, Melanie Spitta's daughter, we refer to the very controversial and ambivalent panel discussion that took place on November 11, 1987 at the Duisburg Film Week, in the presence of Melanie Spitta and Katrin Seybold. This protocol shows how the West German audience back then at times was likely to seriously misunderstandd the film, which was otherwise shown with positive feedback at numerous festivals:
