In a nutshell, PA-MYO can be described as a film that brings the past back, in order to heal it.

When I delved into the past of the land we are living in, Korea, it felt as if this land itself resembled a person who had experienced war and oppression, leaving it traumatized and scarred.

This film aims to heal not only the visible wounds but also our traumas hidden beneath the surface, those that have not yet been reconciled.

I approached the project with the hope that it becomes a prayer and a source of silver lining for individuals overcoming trauma By bringing the past back to life and moving forward, I focused on creating a film that resonates with the process of healing.

The characters of many generations – from individuals in past photographs to a newborn – collectively shape the worldview of the film. I am truly grateful that actors representing these generations joined the project, contributing to the symbolism representing the film's past, present, and future timelines.
