This story is built from a fictional script, based on a science fiction universe – Low Tech Sci-Fi – as well as on some real-life experiences, where we found certain points of convergence between our society and the one we created for this film. Finding a bridge between the society that we propose in THE HUMAN HIBERNATION and our own was one of the most important premises, since we intended to reflect on our role as animals within a huge mechanism that is in constant transformation and adaptation. At the same time, we aimed to highlight the anthropocentrism in which we are immersed, and its consequences. As certain people and forms of life that exist in our current society here function within a totally utopian/dystopian fictional story, a direct connection is made with this proto-society, and invites us consider the multiple ways of inhabiting our environment. Thus, the film combines fictional scenes with some scenes that approach the form of documentary, without being able to clearly identify what is fiction and what is reality.
